Robot Academy

Terms of service

Plain-language summary first; the full terms follow. Last updated October 2026.

The short version

  • A kit is a licence to use its prompt or skill and whatever your agent builds with it, including commercially. You don't get to resell the kit itself.
  • Money back within 14 days of a paid purchase, unless you've revealed the prompt. Membership picks aren't refundable; cancel the membership instead.
  • Creators own their kits, warrant that the work is theirs, and are paid 80% of each sale and pick on the 1st of the month.
  • Demos are run in a sandbox. Don't upload anything that tries to escape it.

1. Accounts

You need an account to buy, pick or sell kits. You're responsible for what happens under it. We may close accounts that abuse refunds, scrape the catalogue, or upload malicious demos.

2. Buying a kit

A purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the kit's prompt, skill and lesson, and an unrestricted licence to whatever your agent builds from it. You may not republish, resell or redistribute the kit's prompt or skill. Updates to a kit you own are included.

3. Refunds

Paid kit purchases can be refunded within 14 days from the Billing section of My kits, as long as the prompt has not been revealed. Revealing the prompt ends the money-back window because the product has been delivered. Membership fees are not refunded for a period already started; cancelling stops future charges.

4. Membership

Membership includes a number of kit picks per billing period and access to every lesson while the membership is active. Picks are permanent: kits you pick stay yours if you cancel. Unused picks do not roll over.

5. Selling

By submitting a kit you confirm that it's your own work, that you have the right to license it, and that the demo is the real output of the kit. Robot Academy may decline, delist or require changes to any kit. Creators receive 80% of the price of each sale and of each membership pick (at the listed price), paid monthly through Stripe Connect, net of refunds and chargebacks.

6. Demos and published builds

Demos and buyer-published builds are served in a browser sandbox with a Robot Academy badge. You grant us a licence to host and display them. Don't upload content that is unlawful, that collects data from viewers, or that attempts to bypass the sandbox.

7. Liability

Kits are instructions for AI agents and their output varies. We review kits but can't guarantee any particular result on your machine. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.

8. Changes

We'll post changes here and, for material changes, email account holders.
