We replaced a paid standup tool with this. The Friday question from step 3 is now a team favourite.
Standup Bot — Slack bot builder
A 2:14 recording of the kit's real output, because a Slack bot can't run inside a web page. Share the link freely; the badge brings people back here.
What's in the kit
The builder prompt
One prompt, about 550 words. Paste it into Claude Code and the whole thing is built from scratch.
Make it yours
Five short steps: what was built, how to change the standup questions, add your own digest format, and publish it.
Your own shareable build
Publish what you make and get a demo page like this one, with your name on the badge.
What it builds
A Slack bot that runs asynchronous standups: it asks each person three questions in the morning, collects the replies in threads, and posts one digest at 9am with blockers first. Ships as a Slack app manifest you paste in, one worker file, and a README that gets it live in about fifteen minutes. No database needed for the first fifty people.
- Slack app manifest: paste it, done
- Morning prompt, threaded replies, 9am digest
- /standup slash command and a message shortcut
- Per-member timezones and days off
- Runs on a free Cloudflare Worker or any Node host
- Blockers surface first, in bold
